Meet Our James Island Dentist
Dr. McKenna Freund, DDS
Dr. McKenna Freund recently relocated to Charleston after practicing for two years in Chicago, Illinois, where she provided a wide range of dental treatments, including Invisalign, crowns, dentures, extractions, and comprehensive restorative care.
She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in an environment that feels comfortable, welcoming, and positive. Understanding that many patients experience dental anxiety—often due to past experiences—Dr. Freund is committed to listening closely, building trust, and ensuring every patient feels at ease throughout their visit.
Originally from Ohio, Dr. Freund earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She is excited to begin this new chapter in Charleston and looks forward to serving the community with compassionate, patient-centered care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Freund enjoys reading historical fiction, spending time at the beach, and learning to play pickleball with her boyfriend
