● Allow your denture to soak overnight in any over-the-counter denture cleaner, or for a few hours during the day. (This will give your gum tissue a chance to breathe)
● Place a towel or washcloth in the sink. This way, if you drop the denture, it will not hit the hard surface of the sink and break.
● Take the denture out after soaking; you can brush the denture with a denture brush and warm water. (A denture brush is softer and will not scratch the denture teeth)
● If you have implants, remember to brush your implants and/or any remaining teeth before placing your denture back in your mouth.
● Remember to schedule a routine periodic exam. The interval between routine exams may vary depending on whether you have natural teeth, implants, or no teeth.
● If applicable, be sure to have routine dental cleanings of your implants and/or natural teeth. Teeth can decay under the denture, and implants can become loose over time if not properly cared for. Please remember that warranties may be voided if proper care is not followed and/or if dental exams/cleanings are neglected.
